Barista

Welcome to George & Gather, a new restaurant concept opening in downtown Chandler, February of 2025, serving delicious made from-scratch, organic and locally sourced dishes. We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in providing an amazing experience for our guests. Join us in our beautifully restored mid-century building and be part of a team dedicated to using clean, organic ingredients while offering a nourishing and enjoyable dining experience.

We are looking for an experienced barista who can brew a great cup of coffee and help us provide exceptional customer experiences to our guests. A qualified candidate must be skilled in using various coffee preparation techniques and must also be able to cater to our guests' needs and build long-lasting customer relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Provide menu recommendations and engage with guests in a friendly and helpful manner
• Prepare and serve high quality coffee, espresso and other menu items with precision and consistency
• Keep coffee bar, equipment, food displays and surrounding areas clean and stocked
• Basic cash handling and credit card transactions
• Communicate with team to effectively take care of guests needs
• Maintaining a safe, healthy, and appealing work environment

Barista Job Requirements:

• Prior experience as a barista and/or cashier
• POS experience
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Must have basic knowledge of food & beverage handling procedures
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
