Job Description and Duties

This position reports directly to a Supervising Bridge Engineer in Division of Engineering Services (DES) / Structure Construction (SC). The incumbent is responsible for and manages a staff of engineering employees on multiple structure projects while managing field staff on smaller structure projects.

Eligibility for hire may be determined by your score on the Senior Bridge Engineer  exam. For those who do not have current eligibility (e.g., transfer, permissive reinstatement, or voluntary demotions) and/or who will be new to state civil services employment, you must be on the state examination list to be eligible for these positions.  To apply for the exam, please click and search by typing in the classification title.

Working Conditions

Position located at: 1031 Butte St Redding, Shasta county CA

Special Requirements

SOQ must be typed and no more than 2 pages, single-spaced, using 12-point font. SOQ questions need to be included in candidates submitted SOQ.
