Job Title: West Coast Events, Catering Manager
Location: Santa Barbara, California
Reports To: Director of Operations, Endwell Hospitality
Key Relationships: Brand and Marketing Director, General Managers, Front of House Managers, Head Chefs & Sous Chefs
Pay: Base Salary + 3% administrative fee from events and catering orders sold

Job OverviewThe West Coast Events & Manager for Endwell Hospitality will drive event and catering sales, coordinate seamless execution of all private events and catering orders, and manage reservations. This position blends sales strategy, guest outreach, team leadership, and operational excellence to create memorable hospitality experiences and contribute to overall growth.


This position will be a key player in future openings and the development of our Events Department at Monte’s, Rincon Hill Farm, Rincon Hill Market and The Palms Building.

Key ResponsibilitiesEvent Sales & Execution
  • Develop Event Decks and work with operations teams to create packages that can be executed across properties.
  • Create and execute an outreach strategy that drives Events & Catering bookings
  • Drive event and catering sales with a goal to hit projected budgets.
  • Streamline booking and execution processes, ensuring clear cross-department communication.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to all event inquiries.
  • Collaborate with culinary and service teams to create tailored, high-impact events.

Catering Sales & Execution
  • Work with Chef team to create a Catering program that appeals to local clientele. 
  • Drive catering sales through proactive outreach and client relationship management.
  • Ensure seamless coordination and execution of catering orders.
  • Collaborate with FOH and culinary teams to meet and exceed client expectations.
  • Collect and utilize post-event client feedback to improve offerings.

Reservations Management
  • Maintain strong oversight of the reservations book to optimize revenue and flow and connect guests with future booking opportunities. 
  • Work with the host team to ensure smooth arrivals and guest experiences.
  • Analyze reservation trends to drive strategic improvements.
  • Ensure all reservations are accurately entered and updated in the booking system.

Team Leadership
  • Train and mentor team members to ensure consistent, high-quality guest service.
  • Create and maintain systems that support consistency across all guest touchpoints.
  • Actively participate in weekly management meetings and collaborate with other leaders.

Operational Excellence
  • Align with the Director of Operations on service standards and revenue targets.
  • Oversee flawless execution of all events—from planning to breakdown.
  • Develop systems to track event success, guest feedback, and areas for improvement.
  • Manage all catering and event inquiries across communication channels.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years running and executing events. 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong cross-departmental collaboration abilities.
  • Strategic mindset with a desire to innovate and measure success.
  • Proficiency with Google Docs, Microsoft Office, TripleSeat, Resy, and Toast.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently within time-sensitive environments.
  • Flexibility to work a dynamic schedule based on business and event needs.
  • Deep understanding of hospitality, event logistics, and catering operations.
  • Highly organized with sharp attention to detail and ability to prioritize.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, team-oriented environments.
