About the Role We are looking for a skilled and technical Full-Charge Bookkeeper to join a client's team in Hurst. This role is perfect for a detail-driven accounting professional who enjoys managing the complete accounting cycle for a variety of clients. You will be responsible for ensuring that all financial data is accurate, up-to-date, and processed according to the highest industry standards.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and the ability to work independently to meet monthly and quarterly deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Full-Cycle Bookkeeping: Manage the entire accounting process for multiple client entities, ensuring accuracy from data entry to trial balance.
• General Ledger Management: Maintain and review general ledger activity using double-entry bookkeeping principles.
• Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and review Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheets for client review.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee the processing of invoices, payments, and collections as needed.
• Audit Support: Assist in preparing documentation and schedules for year-end reviews or tax preparation.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of full-charge bookkeeping experience, preferably within a CPA firm or a multi-client environment.
• Technical Mastery: Expert-level knowledge of double-entry accounting is required.
• Software Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop and Online) and Microsoft Excel. Experience with specialized accounting ERPs is a plus.
• Precision: An uncompromising eye for detail and the ability to spot discrepancies quickly.
• Education: Degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
