Nations to Neighbors Montana is seeking an Immigration Attorney to help launch and shape a new nonprofit Immigrant Legal Services program serving refugee and immigrant families in Montana.
This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to join an established, mission-driven nonprofit as the first attorney while helping build legal capacity in a state with limited immigration legal services and growing demand. Montana has few immigration attorneys, and many families face significant barriers to obtaining affordable, qualified legal assistance.
Over the past several years, Nations to Neighbors has walked alongside refugee and immigrant families in Billings through mentorship, youth programming, English classes, and practical support. We are now launching an Immigrant Legal Services program to provide trusted, high-quality legal assistance to families navigating complex immigration processes.
This attorney will help establish and grow the program within an organization already deeply connected to newcomer communities. The role includes direct representation as well as helping shape systems, policies, and long-term legal service delivery. For the right candidate, this is an opportunity both to serve clients directly and to help build durable legal infrastructure that expands access to justice for immigrants in Montana.
We are looking for someone who combines strong legal judgment with humility, initiative, compassion, and a commitment to client-centered advocacy.
Billings, Montana
