Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Import Coordinator with strong ocean import, air import, freight forwarding, and customs documentation experience who enjoys managing international shipments from origin through final U.S. delivery.

The Import Coordinator will join a fast-paced import/export and wholesale trade environment where accuracy, communication, and follow-through are essential. Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinating ocean and air import shipments from foreign origin points to final U.S. destinations.
- Receiving, reviewing, and processing import documentation, including bills of lading, arrival notices, delivery orders, in-bond documents, freight releases, and customs-related documents.
- Tracking and tracing FCL and LCL cargo shipments and providing timely updates to customers, carriers, brokers, overseas offices, and trucking partners.
- Coordinating inland transportation, delivery schedules, and door deliveries while resolving shipment issues to support on-time performance.
- Maintaining accurate shipment files, updating internal systems and industry websites, and ensuring import records comply with domestic and foreign regulations.
- Processing vendor invoices and payables on time to support month-end deadlines and overall department accuracy.

- Pay Range : $23 to $25 per hour DOE.
- Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire.
- Location: Carson, CA.

Additional Skills

Required Qualifications and Skills:
- 2+ years of import coordination, freight forwarding, or international logistics experience.
- Experience processing ocean imports and/or air imports.
- Strong knowledge of import documentation, U.S. Customs procedures, arrival notices, delivery orders, and bills of lading.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Strong organization, critical thinking, follow-up, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, work independently or as part of a team, and manage multiple shipment deadlines in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and customer service focus.
- Ability to support ISO9001 quality system requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:
- CargoWise experience.
- Experience with Descartes NetCHB or Syrinx TradeTech.
- Experience supporting both ocean import and air import operations.
- Prior experience working with overseas offices, customs brokers, VOCCs, NVOCCs, carriers, importers, freight forwarders, and trucking companies.
