Job Title: Residential Elevator Installer

Location: Hagerstown, MD Area
Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Residential Elevator Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience installing residential elevator systems and a strong background in mechanical and/or electrical work. This role requires precision, technical knowledge, and a commitment to safety and high-quality workmanship in residential settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install residential elevator systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications, project plans, and local building codes
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals specific to elevator systems
• Assemble and install rails, hoistways, drive systems, control panels, and safety components
• Perform electrical wiring, connections, and system testing
• Troubleshoot and resolve installation or performance issues
• Conduct final inspections and ensure systems meet all safety and regulatory requirements
• Coordinate with contractors, inspectors, and homeowners throughout the installation process
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized job site

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience installing residential elevators (required)
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and wiring diagrams
• Knowledge of safety standards and building codes related to elevator installation
• Proficiency with hand and power tools
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift heavy materials and work in confined spaces, ladders, and heights

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with multiple residential elevator brands and systems
• OSHA certification or equivalent safety training
• Electrical certification or relevant trade license

Work Environment:

• Residential construction and retrofit job sites
• Physically demanding work including lifting, climbing, and extended periods of standing
• Travel to various job locations may be required
