First Baptist Church of DeFuniak Springs is seeking a full-time Student Pastor that can minister to an awesome group of teenagers in our church. Looking for someone who deeply loves Jesus, is passionate about discipling young people, grounded in Scripture, energetic, and team oriented.
We are located in the Florida panhandle, close to the most beautiful beaches in the world. We have a strong Student Ministry with amazing volunteers and enthusiastic church support. DeFuniak Springs was recently voted the best small town in Florida but the secret is out, as we have experienced significant growth over the past couple of years in the Student Ministry, the church, and our city.
We have a student-led Leadership Team and the students have a Wednesday evening service averaging 70 with a talented Student band. Our overall church worship attendance is averaging 350 this year.

What you will be doing:
Teaching and preaching to the youth of the church
Actively engaging with and planning events for the youth
Choosing curriculum for the teaching of the youth
Overseeing and leading a group of volunteers
Working closely with the parents of the youth
Qualities and skills needed:

A passion to work with the youth of the church
Effective Biblical leadership skills
Effective communication and preaching skills
A heart of humility and joy
A desire to lead and build up the youth of the church
