We Are Hiring for Physician and Surgeon (Safety) (Half Time Position .50) 

(Range V- $10,892 Monthly)
(Range W- $11,497 Monthly)
(Range Y- $13,315 Monthly)

The Department of State Hospitals – Coalinga is now accepting applications for multiple Physician and Surgeon (Safety) (1/2 Time) – positions. 

All state civil service employees are currently subject to a mandatory Personal Leave Program (PLP). The PLP program reduces the monthly gross salary but provides PLO leave credits in lieu of pay. The amount of salary reduction depends on the classification and associated union Bargaining Unit (BU).  The BU that represents this position is  BU#16 – UNION of American Physician and Dentist (UAPD) .  The expected salary reduction will be 4.62%  of the salary identified above, and you will accrue approximately 8 hours of PLP  each qualifying pay period. Incumbents will be subject to the PLP salary reduction and leave accruals through June 30, 2027.

Working Conditions

The employee is required to work any shift and schedule in a variety of settings throughout the hospital and may be required to work overtime and float to other work locations as determined by the operational needs of the hospital.

Special Requirements

• The position(s) require(s) a Drug Screening be passed prior to being hired.
• The position(s) require(s) a Background Investigation be cleared prior to being hired.
• The position(s) require(s) Medical Clearance prior to being hired.
• The position(s) require(s) a(n) Medical License License. You will be required to provide a copy of your license prior to being hired.
